Unit stills photographer for Ammazzare Stanca, the 2025 drama directed by Daniele Vicari, loosely based on the autobiography of Antonio Zagari, a former ‘ndrangheta man of honour who became a state witness. Produced by Pier Giorgio Bellocchio and the Manetti Bros. for Mompracem with RAI Cinema, with support from the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission and the Calabria Film Commission, released by 01 Distribution on 4 December 2025.
The film was shot over eight weeks between Emilia-Romagna — Pianoro, Bologna, Marzabotto, Grizzana Morandi, Zola Predosa, San Lazzaro di Savena, Sasso Marconi, Casalecchio — and Calabria — Lamezia Terme, Spezzano della Sila, Camigliatello Silano, San Luca, Bovalino. The principal cast includes Gabriel Montesi as Antonio Zagari, Vinicio Marchioni as his father, the boss Giacomo, Selene Caramazza, Thomas Trabacchi, Andrea Fuorto and Rocco Papaleo as Don Peppino Pesce.
Presented in official selection at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival in the Spotlight section, the film tells the true story of a young man raised inside the ‘ndrangheta who chooses to rebel against his criminal destiny through writing and testimony.
